This is my first "inktober" :)

The rules are as follows:

1) Make a drawing in ink (you can do a pencil under-drawing if you want).

2) Post it on tumblr (or Instagram, twitter, facebook, flickr, Pinterest or just pin it on your wall.)

3) Hashtag it with #inktober

4) Repeat (you can do it daily, like me, or go the half-marathon route and post every other day, or just do the 5K and post once a week. What ever you decide, just be consistent with it. INKtober is about growing and improving and forming positive habits, so the more you’re consistent the better.)

I don't know how often I will participate, but it's a fun challenge, and I certainly enjoyed drawing this one :)

Best Friends Forever

I shared a sneak peek of my personal project in the previous post, and I can finally share the completed work here :)

It was a wedding gift for my best friend, who I've been buddies for 20 years!

I made her a children's book about us and how we will always be together no matter where we are. I also made the book into a video, and would like to share it with you :)

It's in Japanese so some of you might not understand what it says, but hopefully can get the feel of my message through the images!

"Hopes and Fears" by KEANE

I recently took a Skillshare class where you get to create your own album cover.
I chose "Hopes and Fears" by the British band, KEANE. I got some inspiration from their music videos, and here's my take.

 

















It was a fun project and a good illustration exercise :)

American Museum of Natural History

Went to American Museum of Natural History and got some sketches done :)
These are great resources and I love sketching especially the animals I don't really get to see so close, but I can't help feeling a little weird people taking pictures of these dead animals... :/
Nonetheless, it's one of my favorite places to sketch!

Wow a first post this year... and it's almost April :/ Didn't realize I was absent for that long.. Well here's finally a little something: Another singing bird (like my last post!) but wasn't intentional! I must love singing birds then :) I drew this based on a word "loud".
